What was the highlight of Hotel Estela Barcelona
Good
Additional cost for pet and parking is high, we parked on the residential street behind the hotel as we have a roof box too high for the hotel parking. Our car got scratched as the road is narrow and busy. The hotel is of a good standard, and the rooms are comfortable, clean, and have great beds that are very comfortable. We had a lot of bags, and it would have been nice to have been helped with them or a trolley provided.

What was the highlight of Hotel Estela Barcelona
Great stop - but has some challenges
The highs: The location - we had a balcony facing the sea, and it was lovely. It was also nice to have two rooms - the living room sofa was an additional space to sleep which was nice. A few steps away is the harbor and restaurants. The hotel front desk was helpful and polite.
But also the lows: The location - we didn't have our own transportation and we were *completely dependent* on *hoping* for a taxi. When it worked, great! When it didn't - we spent over an hour waiting for a taxi that never came to get to a wedding ten minutes away... we should have arrived an hour early for the wedding (one of us was in the wedding) but walked in five minutes before the ceremony when the owner of the wedding venue drove down to get us! Yikes! The hotel is close to the harbor and restaurants - but often they weren't open and there was a lot of construction, which made it pretty dusty and a little more challenging to navigate the walking path that was partially closed.
